Maharashtra Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant has reportedly joined the Eknath Shinde faction at Guwahati in Assam. As per reports, the minister from Shiv Sena is said to be not reachable. Samant is the eighth state minister to join the Shinde camp. He has reportedly boarded a flight to Guwahati from Surat.
