Maharashtra has directed city-gas-distribution (CGD) companies to set up 24x7 helplines for PNG (piped natural gas) users, so residents can seek help and apply for connections round the clock. The move aims to speed up PNG rollout, ease dependence on LPG, and reduce hassles amid the global energy-supply disruption triggered by the West Asia crisis.
