Maharashtra reduces senior citizen age bar to 60

Maharashtra's Social Justice Minister Rajkumar Badole on Tuesday announced the state government's decision to bring down the senior citizen age bar to 60 from the current 65. The government is also considering increasing the state allowance to senior citizens from the current ₹600 per month, he said. “The decision will come into effect from March 2016,” Badole added.
