Maharashtra releases ₹90.72 lakh for plantation upkeep amid drought

Maharashtra's Revenue and Forest Department sanctioned ₹90.72 lakh for fourth-year maintenance of Panchayat Van, Bel Van, and Amrut Van plantations across 227 hectares in 2026-27. Funds require 90% sapling survival. Pune gets ₹42.80 lakh, the highest share. The release comes as 304 of 358 talukas face drought conditions this Kharif season.
