BJP State President Ravindra Chavan said the Mayor of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation(NMMC) should come from the Mahayuti alliance, claiming voters backed its development agenda. He made the remarks while meeting newly elected corporators, as the BJP-Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) alliance emerged as the largest bloc in the civic polls.
