The Centre has asked all ministries and departments to analyze the information sought by RTI applicants and make the frequently sought information public. The move, which comes after a recommendation by a Parliamentary Standing Committee, aims at stopping repeated RTI queries by applicants. The RTI Act guarantees time-bound responses to citizens' queries on matters of governance.
