RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Tuesday said it was necessary to make people cow devotees to stop their slaughter. "Samaj ko gau bhakt banao, gau hatya apne aap ruk jayegi (make society cow devotee, cow slaughter will stop automatically)," he said. He added the demand for a ban on cow slaughter would get same mass support as Ayodhya's Ram Mandir.
