Kerala Police on Wednesday arrested Malayalam actor and former general secretary of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA) Edavela Babu on rape charges after a three-hour-long interrogation. The actor will be released on bail as he has already obtained anticipatory bail from a district court in Ernakulam. Actress Minu Muneer last month accused Babu of physical and verbal abuse.
