Malaysia detains two tankers for illegally transferring diesel

The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency said it has detained two tankers anchored off Bagan Ajam for illegally transferring diesel. The tankers allegedly conducted an illegal ship-to-ship transfer of about 7 lakh litres of diesel, the agency said. The agency's director said an inspection was conducted after an intelligence tip, following which 22 crew members aboard the ships were also arrested.
