Sudden cardiac death is responsible for unusually high proportion of deaths in male bodybuilders worldwide with highest risk among professional bodybuilders, according to a study published in European Heart Journal. Researchers said their findings highlight health risks associated with competitive bodybuilding and suggest the need for preventive strategies and policy changes within the community.
