Mamata's Rejinagar bypoll candidate decides to contest hours after quitting race

Rabiul Alam Chowdhury, the Mamata Banerjee-led TMC faction's candidate for the Rejinagar Assembly bypoll, has made a U-turn, deciding to contest hours after announcing his withdrawal. Chowdhury had withdrawn his nomination on Saturday, citing pressure on party workers and a change in the faction's election symbol. The seat fell vacant after Humayun Kabir resigned from the Assembly.
