A man from Karnataka's Udupi lost ₹99,997 in five transactions while attempting to recharge his FASTag by calling a helpline number he found on the internet. The person on the other side introduced himself as a representative of 'Paytm FASTag' and asked the man to share an OTP received by him. Police found the helpline number to be fake.
