China banned Wang Hongquanxing, an influencer nicknamed 'China's Kim Kardashian', from social media platforms including Weibo, Douyin and Xiaohongshu for flaunting wealth, according to reports. The government had earlier warned influencers against deliberately showcasing a lavish lifestyle. Hongquanxing had once claimed he never left his home without wearing items worth at least $1.4 million.
