Vikrant Tongad, an environmentalist and founder of NGO SAFE (Social Action for Forest and Environment), cleared four acres out of a 10-acre stretch of land filled with municipal and industrial waste in seven months in Noida. Vikrant planted 3,000 trees in area using Miyawaki method, a Japanese technique that helps forests grow in two to three years instead of decades.
