Man dies after scooter skids into open pit on Kerala road

A 60-year-old man, Kunnathery Mustafa, died after his scooter skidded into an open pit on the Chemmad-Kakkad road in Kerala's Malappuram. Mustafa was riding with his son when they fell onto the road. He suffered serious injuries and died during treatment. Locals alleged the pit was left open after being dug for a drinking water project.
