A man died after being hit by a train near DAV Halt Railway Station in Punjab's Jalandhar, police said. The victim, identified as Sukhwinder Kumar, was walking near the railway tracks while talking on a phone call when he was struck. Reports stated that bystanders tried to warn him, but he failed to notice the approaching train.
