A man who lost the Zilla Panchayat (ZP) Chairman election in Rae Bareli recently has died by suicide in Lucknow, police said. The deceased man had borrowed money to contest the election. Unable to clear the debt, he was hiding in Lucknow since October 31. The man had contested the election twice in six years and had lost both times.
