A competitive eater who participated in a chilli eating contest had to be taken to the hospital after he developed a pain in his neck that turned into a series of thunderclap headaches, it emerged recently. He had eaten a Carolina Reaper pepper, which was the hottest chilli pepper in the world when the incident occurred in 2016.
