The Supreme Court dismissed a husband's plea to block his divorce and directed him to pay ₹50-lakh alimony to his estranged wife despite her not seeking it. While the estranged wife said she remarried after divorce was granted by lower court, the court told the man, "False charge of adultery, you could not prove, that itself is ground for divorce."
