Man gets 10 years in jail for assault after marriage promise

Perinthalmanna Fast Track Special Court sentenced Vishnu, 33, to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment for sexually assaulting a woman after promising to marry her. Judge MP Shyjal also imposed a fine of ₹25,000, payable to the survivor. The convict was shifted to Tavanur Central Jail after the verdict.
