Professor Sam Van Aken has created a tree variety, through a process called 'chip grafting', which bears 40 varieties of stone fruits including peaches, plums and cherries. The 'Tree of 40 Fruit' begins to bear fruits in the summer months. Aken has created more than twelve such trees, that have been planted around the United States.
