Man held for allegedly killing girlfriend over marriage in Meerut

A man in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut allegedly killed his girlfriend after learning that her family had fixed her marriage with another man. The accused reportedly called the police after the murder and has been taken into custody. An officer said he was upset over her marriage being arranged elsewhere and had been pressuring her to marry him. Police are investigating the incident.
