A zookeeper at the zoo of Nigeria's Obafemi Awolowo University died after being attacked by a male lion he had been looking after for nearly a decade. Olabode Olawuyi was feeding the lion when the incident happened and his colleagues were unable to save him as the lion had already fatally wounded him. The lion has since been put down.
