US authorities have sentenced a man operating an illegal virtual-currency money services business that exchanged up to $25 million, some of it on behalf of criminals, to 24 months in federal prison. The man did the exchanges through in-person transactions and a network of Bitcoin ATM-type kiosks. The authorities seized about $1.25 million worth of Bitcoin and Ethereum from him.
