A man was booked for allegedly cheating a person by assuring victim of sweeper's job in BMC. The victim had raised ₹8 lakh for the purpose by mortgaging his mother's jewellery, a Mumbai police official said on Friday. The victim didn't get his salary for three months and realised he was duped when the accused dilly-dallied in repaying the amount.
