A 23-year-old man has been sentenced to death for raping and killing a two-year-old girl in Surat in February. Additional sessions judge Shakuntala Solanki also asked the state government to provide ₹10 lakh to the kin of the victim. The accused, in February, took the girl to a nearby shop saying he would buy her snacks and raped her.
