Gurjeet Singh Khalsa, who climbed a 400-foot tower in 2024 demanding stricter anti-sacrilege laws in Punjab, is set to come down on Friday after the Assembly passed the Sacrilege Bill. The Bill was notified on April 20. The 43-year-old spent over 500 days atop the tower, living in a tarpaulin shelter and using a polythene bag to relieve himself.
