A 21-year-old man named Mike lost vision in one eye due to a rare flesh-eating parasite that developed after he slept with his contact lenses on in the US. The parasite, acanthamoeba keratitis, is feeding on his right eye. "It is extremely painful...Not only can I not work, I cannot go outside," Mike said after undergoing two surgeries.
