Vikram Atwal, the sweeper accused of killing 25-year-old air hostess Rupal Ogrey, has allegedly died by suicide in a police station's lock-up, Mumbai Police said. "The body has been sent for post-mortem," the police added. He was accused of slitting Ogrey's throat at her apartment after she resisted his rape attempt.
