A man, in his 40s, who set himself on fire near the Pune Police Commissionerate and then tried to enter the premises succumbed to severe burn injuries on Thursday. A preliminary probe revealed that the man was reportedly seeking a police clearance certificate. If the deceased's family approaches police, an inquiry will be conducted, a police station in-charge said.
