English Premier League champions Manchester City on Thursday announced the signing of Spanish international midfielder Rodri on a five-year deal from Atletico Madrid for a club record fee. It has been revealed that City had triggered Rodri's almost £63 million release clause. Rodri's fee eclipses the reported £60 million City paid Leicester for Riyad Mahrez last year.
