Mangaluru-Bengaluru Vande Bharat trial begins; Someshwar gate shut

Vande Bharat trial runs have begun on the Sakleshpur–Subrahmanya Road ghat section in Karnataka ahead of proposed Bengaluru-Mangaluru service. Meanwhile, Someshwar Railway Gate between Ullal and Netravati stations will remain closed from August 17 to 25 for maintenance. Commuters have been advised to use alternate routes via Beeri, Sangoligere, Uchila, Kotekar, Kolya and Thokottu.
