Mangaluru–Maravanthe 110 km coastal ferry planned with 5 stops

The Karnataka Maritime Board plans a 110 km coastal passenger ferry from Mangaluru to Maravanthe to ease NH-66 congestion and boost tourism. The ₹37.8 crore PPP project will have five stops, including Malpe and Hejamadi. KMB also proposed a ₹180 crore Water Metro for Mangaluru, integrating ferries with city transport.
