The Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) has decided to rename Mallikatte Park in the city after the late Kadri Gopalnath, the legendary saxophonist. The proposal was approved during an MCC council meeting chaired by Mayor Manoj Kumar. Kadri Gopalnath, a globally acclaimed saxophonist and Padma Shri awardee, passed away in October 2019
