Canada's PM Justin Trudeau has named Indo-Canadian Maninder Sidhu, a first-term Parliament member, as the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of International Development. The 36-year-old said he was "excited and truly honoured" by his appointment. Sidhu replaces another Indo-Canadian lawmaker, Kamal Khera, who resigned in January over a trip to the US in December amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
