Manipur BJP Minority Morcha President Asker Ali's residence was set ablaze by a mob in the state's Thoubal district on Sunday after he expressed support for the Waqf Act. Ali had voiced his support on social media, following which around 7,000-8,000 people attacked his house and set it on fire. He later apologised and withdrew his support for the Act.
