Raghuram Rajan, when asked who was India's best Finance Minister in a recent interview, replied former finance ministers Yashwant Sinha and Manmohan Singh. "Singh did the big liberalisation...which set the pace for growth," he said. "I think Sinha...kept pushing, saying 'we need to do more'...[however] to some extent he didn't get the political support that Singh got," he added.
