Former RCB owner Vijay Mallya penned a post after RCB reached their second consecutive IPL final. He wrote, "Many Many congratulations to RCB namma dodda Simhagulu (Our big lions) for an emphatic victory in Dharamshala tonight." He added, "You roared loud like the Lions of Bengaluru and roared into the IPL final as defending champions."
