After Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal resigned in protest against three agriculture reform bills, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said, "Many powers are engaged in creating confusion among the farmers." He added, "These bills will truly free the farmers from middlemen and all obstacles...This bill will actually provide many more options to the farmers. They are truly empowering."
