A senior commando of Andhra Pradesh's Greyhound anti-Maoist force, who was injured in an encounter with the Maoists in Odisha's Malkangiri district on Monday, succumbed to his injuries. The deceased, identified as Muhammad Abu Bakr, along with another senior commando, was airlifted from the encounter site to a hospital in Visakhapatnam. At least 24 Naxals were neutralised in the encounter.
