Maoist leader Basava Raju, who had ₹1-crore bounty and was killed by District Reserve Guard (DRG) in Chhattisgarh on Wednesday, camped 1km away from security forces the night before he was killed. DRG became aware of maoist presence near them after a search party came across a patrolling maoist sentry. Maoists were later cornered, following which Raju was shot dead.
