Maoist leader with ₹2.2-crore bounty arrested in West Bengal

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Thursday said that the Special Task Force of the Kolkata Police has arrested top Maoist leader, Asim Mandal. He carried a bounty of ₹2.2 crore, including ₹1 crore declared by Jharkhand government and ₹1.2 crore by Odisha. Mandal, a central committee member of the West Bengal CPI(Maoist), had been absconding for 15 years.
