Daily or near-daily marijuana use among Americans aged 12 and older has surpassed daily cigarette smoking and alcohol consumption, according to 2025 National Survey on Drug Use and Health. About 21.4 million people reported daily or near-daily marijuana use, compared with 19.9 million daily smokers and 17.2 million daily alcohol users. It also exceeds daily nicotine vaping and cigar smoking.
