American actress and model Marilyn Monroe was the first person to feature on the debut cover of adult magazine Playboy. The introductory issue of the magazine was released in December 1953 and featured Monroe's nude photo. Monroe, who died at the age of 36 on August 5, 1962, was later featured on many Playboy covers.
