Marlboro maker stops ad campaign after young influencers exposed

Marlboro maker Philip Morris International has suspended a global social media marketing campaign following Reuters' inquiries into its use of young influencers to sell its new "heated tobacco" device. The company's internal "marketing standards" call for influencers to be 25+ years of age. Reuters reported that an Instagram influencer from Moscow promoting the product listed her age as 21.
