The Madras High Court observed that couples who tie the marital knot must understand that marriage isn't for mere carnal pleasure, but its main purpose is to progenate. The child born out of wedlock is the connecting link between two individuals, it added. The court was hearing an application filed by a woman seeking interim custody of her two sons.
