In a recent study presented at the Royal Astronomical Society, scientists have mapped more than 15,000 kilometres of ancient riverbeds on Mars. The newly identified Martian river system surpasses the length of India's Ganga river system and rivals some of the largest on Earth. This discovery raises new questions about Mars' potential to have harboured life, the lead researcher said.
