James Gunn spoke about how yearly corporate mandates for number of shows and films is what led to Marvel's decline over-time. While speaking about mandates set by Disney+, he said, "That wasn't fair. It wasn't right. And it killed them." He further added that DC does not have such mandates, allowing them to make every film to the "highest quality".
