Iran's reformist candidate Masoud Pezeshkian won on Saturday in the presidential runoff against ultra-conservative Saeed Jalili. Pezeshkian, a heart surgeon, secured 16.3 million votes, surpassing Jalili's 13.5 million out of the total 30 million votes cast. The election, held on June 28, recorded a historically low voter turnout.
