Mass grave with 1,000 skeletons of 'Black Death' victims found in Germany

Archaeologists have unearthed the skeletons of about 1,000 Black Death victims in Germany. Experts believe the mass grave may contain the skeletons of over 1,500 people. Excavations ahead of the construction of new apartments in Nuremberg found eight pits containing plague victims' skeletons, including adults, children and babies, that date to between the late 15th and early 17th centuries.
